Website
Why did you make this site?
I created this site due to my enthusiasm for Slate and I wanted show my tenacity, dedication, and a bit of my personality.
Did you really build this site in a day?
Yes, with minimal use of AI (only to identify style/font/formatting).
Saturday, January 24: I came across the Risk Manager job opening, and after some brainstorming, I acquired this “.com” domain in the evening.
Sunday, January 25: After taking my dog for a walk and finishing my morning workout (and several cups of coffee), I took the rest of the day to complete my job application and this website.
Is this copyright infringement?
I hope not! But if it is I will happily oblige and take down the site.
Job Role
Is the role a good fit for you?
I believe my risk management experience and propensity to problem-solve makes me a good fit.
My career goals have never been about title/position; instead I’ve always focused on growth, learning, and making positive impacts.
What about experience in Insurance?
I do not have direct experience in Insurance management, but I am fully confident in my capabilities to effectively manage the insurance program while establishing the required relationships. I will draw from experience managing my handyman business insurance coverage (albeit on a much smaller scale), resolving multi-year compliance issues on mortgage flood insurance, and consulting at several insurance broker/underwriting companies.
What is your working style?
I prefer collaboration followed by practical decision-making and decisive action, akin to the proverb “Measure Twice, Cut Once.” Once the correct length has been determined, follow-through execution is critical to making progress.
What if I have more questions?
Feel free to reach out directly (contact information in the job application) or arrange an interview.
Personal
Are you a truck fanatic?
Not at all. I’m not even a car fanatic – but when Slate came out, it was exactly what I had been looking for: an affordable, smaller, non-gas-guzzling truck.
Do you really like Slate that much?
Yes.
Coolest memory from your sabbatical?
Witnessing the sunrise at the top of Mt. Fuji with my son.
Slate-inspired Questions
What’s Henry?
From the job application, cover letter, resume and this site, hopefully you are able to understand a bit more about me. If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out!
So wait, there’s only one Henry model?
Yes. I am all about doing my job really well. So, when your needs change, you don’t need to find someone new, I can manage many priorities while still delivering with excellence.
What is the battery range?
I have a projected range that is designed and engineered to get through most daily employment needs. A good night’s sleep and a couple cups of coffee extends the range significantly.
Overall, range is about more than just the size of the battery; quality matters too.
How big is a Henry?
Henry’s height is slightly shorter than the average – let’s call it Slate-sized.
How much can you haul or tow?
My max working squat weight was 280 lbs, and my towing capacity is dragging a wagon across a sandy beach with two children in tow.
Does Henry have heating and AC?
Yes, thankfully my HVAC is working, especially in this winter storm.
What type of motor does it come with?
Non-stop.
How do I reserve a Henry?
That’s easy, it starts with an interview.
What is the expected cost of a Henry?
Depends on federal and local incentives 🙂
